50/52

Connor: Like a sponge, always wanting to learn more.

Isla: It's refreshing to have another lover of all things christmas in the house. I love the look of joy and awe in her eyes.

Callum: And just like that, the baby is one. I think it's safe to say he liked his cake.

Connor: His thirst for knowledge is incredible. His teacher said to me this week, "He always has the best questions."

Isla: Always looking to entertain...and the more people laugh, the more it eggs her on.

Callum: He loves his newfound exploration. The christmas tree, specifically ornaments and lights, are among his favorite.

Connor: Making smores by the fire in the first fire in our new house.

Isla: She was super into decorating the tree this year and I totally loved it. The decorations make me all sorts of excited, so I was thrilled to watch her get just as excited.

Callum: This kid had a big week. He started crawling (in a weird way, but boy does he move!) and another tooth is cutting. I guess I'll be nice about how awful his nights were!

Connor: He turned seven this past week...and looks so incredibly grown up in this photo. He had so much fun celebrating with his friends (mom doesn't rate so high all the time anymore).

Isla: The girl who considers dressing in all pink and purple matching, who busts out in free dance in the middle of a ballet routine and who is constantly referred to by others as a "free spirit".

Callum: Still content just chilling on the floor. Though he has managed to scoot backwards across the room a couple times now. Progress.

Connor: He acts more grown up by the day. Thankfully he still is ok with answering all my questions and holding my hand.

Isla: The love of stuffed animals is real with this one. She pretty much always has at least one with her everywhere she goes.

Callum: He may not be crawling yet, but he is starting to get around more and more. Oh, and he started clapping.

Connor: I'm so proud of this kid. He was awarded with the character trait of responsibility at school. Sure, he refused to look at me or even talk to me after the assembly. But I was glad to be there and happy to hear his teachers find him responsible.

Isla: There almost always is a stuffed animal on our journeys with us...or some other trinket. I love watching her imagination at work.

Callum: Oh hey, Callum's first fall. Glad you are finally joining us. Callum really likes crumbling up the crunchy leaves in his hands...then tries stuffing them in his mouth!

Connor: He is getting so grown up. But he still needs to cuddle with his mom or dad from time to time.

Isla: Finally got to celebrate her birthday with her friends. She was literally on the countdown to her party. She really enjoyed herself.

Callum: He may not be able to crawl, but that doesn't stop his sense of adventure and wonder.

Connor: He got a hole in one at mini golf. That's not an easy thing to do even for a grown up! He also got to bring home Mikey the monkey from school for the weekend because he is star student.

Isla: She turned five and was celebrated many a times…and she hasn't even had her party yet! But, she got to go out twice, with each set of grandparents, have a class party and celebrate with us on her actual birthday.

Callum: He really has vamped up his appetite for table food. He also is sleeping in 45 minute cycles at night…which leaves me exhausted in the morning and somehow leaves him full of smiles.

Connor: He's growing up so fast. But at least he will still hold my hand at school and doesn't care if his face is covered in the remnants of his pb&j.

Isla: This girl gave us quite the spicy week. Then, one morning, I curled up in her bed with her and we told each other what we dreamed about in the night. After many a rough times this week, it was just pure bliss.

Callum: This is the face you give when your mom introduces you to bacon, then tells you its all gone. He really liked the bacon.

Connor: It's funny to me how even when school and homework dominate his days, he still wants to play school at home.

Isla: Always up for alone play time.

Callum: Working on more teeth.
