Isla and Her Stuff

I always listened to moms talk about their kids having lovies or needing copious amounts of stuffed animals in bed with them to sleep and wondered what that was like. Some swore having one special thing made their kid sleep better. I even tried to force a lovie onto Connor, but it never really took. In fact, the closest thing Connor ever had was when he slept with a toy train for a few months when he was a toddler. But then there's Isla...

She doesn't have a lovie or a particular object she likes sleeping with. She just likes sleeping with stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. One day it could be books, the next her babies and the next every single last bracelet she owns must go to bed with her. I often wonder how it could be comfortable sleeping with so much stuff (especially the hard and not so soft stuff). But she likes it, so I guess that's all that matters.

  1. Haha! The image of Isla sleeping with all her bracelets just makes me laugh! Isn't it so fun seeing our kids unique personalities and likes/dislikes emerge. She's such a doll!

  2. Nixon was the same as Connor, not interested in anything. I tried to get him to like a lovie or stuffed animal too, but didn't work. Eisley on the other hand LOVES stuffed animals. It is too funny to me how different kiddos can be.

I still just love that Isla takes naps with her shoes on! Does she still do that?
