Politics & Parenting

Both subjects are so close to people's hearts that they can cause illogical conversations in the matter of seconds. It gets people's blood boiling when they are questioned. And people seem to talk so passionately about the most minuscule things with both of them, it is like the world is going to end. That is why I am not too into sharing my views openly about either. Don't get me wrong, I am passionate and willing to talk about my views. But generally only with people who are willing to have an open and adult conversation about things. I am just not a fan of in-your-face-I-am-always-right-you-are-wrong people.

This political year has already gotten me all annoyed. Does everyone and their stinking mother need to use Facebook as a medium to so passionately share their political beliefs?! I am already against the oh-so-annoying political commercials (so glad we don't have tv anymore! I am commercial free!) but people seem to be taking to Facebook to do their political bashing there. It gets old folks. Real old.

Oh, I will leave you with one little political belief of mine. I can't stand when politically people believe one thing, but they live their life in opposition with their supposed beliefs. It just doesn't make sense to me.

And because no post is complete without some adorable pictures of my children, who I may or may not be parenting correctly to you ;), here are a couple pictures from this past week:

And don't forget to enter my giveaway for some Nuby infant feeding essentials! It doesn't end until the 21st.

  1. Oohhhh myyyy gosh. That top of one Isla is pretty much my new favorite. And Connor pouring water on her head?! It can't get much cuter. But then there's Connor in his train gear...
As for the parenting /politics... I'm with you. I'm not entrenched in the parenting warfare myself yet but I hear it's a doozy and goodness gracious, facebook should be called SoapBox.
